Katie Biggar
Adviser Support
I'm passionate about what I do because I've always been drawn to roles that require strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to support a team behind the scenes.
What really energises me is connecting with clients - especially when we swap stories about travels up north. Those conversations and the chance to make a difference every day are what keep me motivated.
I worked as a veterinary nurse for 15 years before having children, and I cared deeply for both people and animals. When my son was diagnosed with a severe cat allergy, I had to make the difficult decision to change my career path. The compassion and organisational skills I developed as a vet nurse have seamlessly transitioned into my current role, and now I'm proud to be part of a company that feels like family.
Whether it's supporting a client through a challenging time or celebrating their successes, those moments of genuine connection and impact are what inspire me and remind me why I love what I do.
Outside of work, I'm a busy mum to three energetic boys and our beloved Border Collie, Darcy. We love spending time outdoors as a family - camping under the stars or heading out on fishing trips together. There's always an adventure waiting for us.
Fun fact: I've lived in Marble Bar, one of the hottest towns in Australia - so I know a thing or two about staying cool under pressure!

Patrick Swayze—especially in his Dirty Dancing era. Not only was he incredibly talented and charming (and, let’s be honest, absolutely gorgeous), but I’d love the chance to hear stories from behind the scenes. Plus, I’d make sure no one put Baby in the corner at our table!

“Keep the change, you filthy animal,” from Home Alone. It always gets a laugh—and as someone in financial planning, I like to think it’s a fun reminder that every dollar counts (even the spare change).

My favourite book is The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. While my recent reading list may not be filled with literary classics, there’s nothing I enjoy more than reading to my boys each night. Sharing stories with children—whether they’re your own, your grandkids, nieces, or nephews—is such a special experience. Those bedtime moments, filled with imagination and laughter, are truly some of the most rewarding parts of my day.

If I could live in any city for a year, it would be London. I have family there whom I haven’t seen since I was sixteen, and it would mean so much for my children to finally meet everyone. Experiencing the city together and reconnecting with loved ones would make it truly unforgettable.
