Close-up of Nicole Andrews, practice manager at a financial advice firm in Perth. with shoulder-length red hair, smiling, against a plain white background, wearing a black top.

I'm one of the original team members working with Nigel, though my path here hasn't exactly been linear.

I've tried a few different careers, gained diverse professional experience, and battled cancer along the way. When Nigel brought me back as practice manager, it was the best decision I ever made.

I love digging into stats and figures - there's something weirdly exhilarating about unravelling details and discovering what drives our performance.

I'm all about challenging the status quo. Just because something's always been done a certain way doesn't mean it can't be better. If I were a superhero, my power would be overthinking everything.

The most rewarding part is watching my team lift the weight of uncertainty from clients' shoulders. Clients often come to us overwhelmed with conflicting advice. Seeing that stress melt away as they gain confidence with a plan - it's really rewarding.

Outside work, I'm building our dream home, which means my life is tile samples, paint swatches, and colour-coded budget spreadsheets. Our holidays now involve caravanning - I've mastered getting closer to nature while getting farther from hot showers and flushing toilets!

As a bowel cancer survivor, I'm passionate about raising awareness and funds for Bowel Cancer Australia. I consider it my personal mission to strong-arm friends, family, and anyone who'll listen into booking their colonoscopies - a medicated nap and a little camera might just save your life! If I can make even one person less squeamish about screening, I'll call it a win.

I lived in Cairns for a year and quickly learned that anyone living further north is either hiding from the law or just really, really loves mosquitoes, crocs, and stingers.

Up Close & Personal with Nicole

  • If I could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, I’d choose Gordon Ramsay. His dry humour, creative use of colourful language, and passion for incredible food would guarantee an evening that’s equal parts delicious and wildly entertaining. Plus, I’d love to see if my cooking could actually impress him—or at least avoid a signature Ramsay roast!

  • “Happiness is a warm puppy.”

  • Sweet Dreams by The Eurythmics

In addition to my god awful singing you are also treated to my freestyle interpretive dance during the instrumental parts of the song.

  • Kafka on the Shore – Haruki Murakami

If you’re looking for someone who blurs the line between reality and dreams and occasionally talks to cats (don’t worry, they rarely answer), look no further. Much like a character in a Haruki Murakami novel, I’m on a never-ending quest for self-discovery, hidden symbolism, and the perfect cup of coffee.

  • For my 30th birthday, I spent nine unforgettable weeks in the States with my three sisters—and completely fell in love with San Francisco. As someone who adores my own child but could take or leave other people’s kids, I found it especially charming that San Francisco has more dogs per capita than children. Honestly, what’s not to love about a city where you’re more likely to bump into a golden retriever than a toddler tantrum?
